Caring for William Yeoward Crystal:
William Yeoward Crystal is a handmade product, and although of great quality and robust in craftsmanship, care should be taken in its use, cleaning and storage. Dishwashers should only be used to clean crystal on a low temperature, gentle program with a mild, non-abrasive cream detergent. It is recommended that items be washed by hand in a plastic bowl of warm soapy water using a mild detergent, one at a time to minimize the risk of damage. Rinse in warm water and dry with a soft dry cloth while the item is still warm. Always hold the bowl of the wine glass while drying instead of the stem and store the glass with the base down as the rim is the weakest part of the glass. Decanters and vases should always be washed and dried as soon as possible after use to avoid hard to remove staining on the interior. The clean decanter should be stored with the stopper removed to prevent condensation from forming. Crystal can easily break if subjected to rapid temperature changes or extremes in temperatures, so do not place crystal pieces in the refrigerator or freezer. Also, do not place them on a hot surface or immerse a cold piece of crystal, such as an ice bucket, into hot water. This care advice will help you preserve your crystal in great condition for years to come.
